February is a short month and that is exactly why we need to hurry and be ready to watch all the releases on Netflix, TV and cinema coming out in February.
New on TV
Now, this is very VERY exciting… If you are a fan of the TV show „2 Minuten 2 Millionen – Die PULS 4 Start Up Show“ you will want to mark February, 5th in your calendar as the sixth season is about to be released. There will also be two new judges, Florian Gschwandtner and Martin Rohla, apart from the ones that we already know from other seasons. We are ready to hear brands like Cutz a frozen cookie dough brand made in Vienna or HelferLine. A Viennese Start-Up company who offers IT support for private people. These and many other exciting brands are ready to pitch their 2-minute presentation in order to fight for a life-changing investment from the judges.
Pssst…. Did you know that Isabel from Salon Mama participated in this TV show?
New on Netflix
After watching “Cable Girls” and the Netflix original Black Mirror: Bandersnatch over and over again, you know why… (if you don’t, you must find out here!), I can’t wait for some new and fresh material to watch. And yep, there are a bunch of new releases coming out to add to our must-watch lists:
Chef’s table: Latest Season (2019) – This documentary presents different chefs and its cultures through food and local cuisines. You will have the chance to travel around the globe in a matter of hours. This production is a reminder of how we should all be proud of our own roots and where one comes from.
Isn’t It Romantic (2019) – A young and unfortunate Rebel Wilson who is disenchanted with love finds herself mysteriously trapped in a classic romantic comedy. This new comedy with the Australian actress and some other hilarious actors like Liam Hemsworth, Adam Devin or Priyanka Chopra, will be a good way to unplug after a long day at the office.
Special For kids:
Spider-man (2002) and The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) – These two movies are being released on Netflix this month. Since Emilian is a HUGE fan of Spiderman, I already know what we will be watching during our semester break.
If this is not enough, check out all the other February releases here…
New at the cinema
Besides Netflix and the TV, the cinema always has some exciting movies coming out. And there is no better plan to survive the winter than by going to the cinema. So, here are some of the releases that might be interesting this month.
Under The Eiffel Tower (2019) – It is an American production filmed in some beautiful wine yards in France. Stuart has entered the mid-life crisis and decided to randomly propose to his best friends 24-year-old daughter. Say what? For sure, this one is an easy and relaxed romantic comedy that will hopefully be entertaining and funny.
Special For kids:
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (3D) is coming out on February 8th in Austria. This time the citizens of “Bricksburg” will have to face a dangerous new threat. Duplo invaders are ready to destroy everything on their way. Sounds dangerous…!
Another one which Emilian is very much looking forward to is How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (3D). This time, Hiccup discovers Toothless isn’t the only Night Fury, this time, he will have to look for the „The Hidden World“, a secret Dragon Utopia before the tyrant finds it first. Coming out on February 8th too and should also be filled with new adventures for the little ones.
New on Amazon Prime
Lastly, if you are on the Amazon team, you will be able to watch 00’s romantic comedy based in New York, starring Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston, Along Came Polly (2004). Apart from this (old) new release, you will also be able to watch the new series based on an Agatha Christie novel, The ABC Murders starring the outstanding John Malkovich.
For kids:
Just Add Magic Season 3, an Amazon Prime original that will bring new magical adventures to life, including some time travel experiences from the three main characters all the way back to the 1880’s.
So… it is now time to get those popcorns popping!
